Kindness is the most endearing attribute of a caregiver. It arrives as a gentle touch, a word of encouragement or a thought unspoken and with assistance freely given without expectation of reward.
Sims, who was confined to a hospital bed, was taken care of by his two sons, Timothy and Wesley, with help from Wesley’s wife, Barbara.

Sims asked, “What are you talking about?” Timothy answered, “We are talking about taking care of you because you took care of us.” Smiling, Timothy added, “You take care of yourself. We just give you a little bit of assistance.”

William, devoted husband, would not speak about his wife, Colleen, in her presence, “She won’t remember what I said but I do not want her to feel badly while I am saying it.”
