My work with caregivers in their homes began in 2012, getting to know them, recording their stories and making portraits of them and their loved ones. These caregivers found solutions for the unsolvable, kept their loved one foremost in their thoughts and provided enduring support without seeking recognition or reward.

Janie said this: “Caregiving isn’t just about feeding, or changing clothing, or the medical appointments. It’s about the special time, the one-on-ones. There may not be a word spoken. It might be just holding hands. Let them feel your presence and your love.”
